In the articles of this anthology, the body is, in a way, seen as ‘metaphorical battle field’ but also as medium of the metaphorical portrayal, or even stylization of gender. Most articles broach the issue of the possible de-/construction of gender and transgression of gender boundaries on the level of discoursive strategies and rhetoric concepts. In doing this, the dimension of performative, material-physical effects on the actual gender reality is unfortunately somewhat neglected.Downloads
