Angela McRobbie, a sociologist of culture, examines (pop-)cultural and political manifestations of the current gender regime and discovers a complex, specifically postfeminist backlash – an antifeminist backlash which works precisely because feminist elements are integrated into the political and cultural discourse. The book shows various society-theoretical and subject-theoretical references which, although not being spelled out and brought together completely, nevertheless convincingly back up the core statement.Downloads
