The present anthology analyzes several movies of the director Tod Browning (who was very successful in the 1920s and 1930s), particularly the movie Freaks which, today, is his most well-known work. Using historical contextualizations and a Film Studies background, Dellmann explores the thesis that this work shows traces of an understanding of the body that today no longer exist, above all the representation of disabilities and disabled male bodies.Downloads
