Abstract

This book features 17 essays by different authors, all of which offer structural analyses of women’s work and women’s lives in the city and the country of Saxony-Anhalt, with the aim of rendering visible the history of women in this region. This highly readable collection of essays covers a wide variety of women, ranging from the first abess of Quedlinburg to today’s young and self-confident women, and inspires one to do further research on women’s histories.
