In this encyclopedia, the editors Annette Kreuziger-Herr and Melanie Unseld, combine Gender Studies and Cultural Studies within a new framework: the systematic portion is expanded by a historiographic aspect, which opens the perspective to connections to music history. Keeping a constant, critical distance to scientific discourses and their establishment in musicology, the roles of all participants in the realm of music are reevaluated. This results in a historiographic-lexicographical project, which is fully committed to the principle of a manifold Cultural Studies ecosystem regarding both structure and content.Downloads
