Women in the Holocaust—A Book Long Overdue?

This book is centered around the experiences of different women during the persecution of Jews in Europe. Essays by 18 authors, among them former victims, show the perspectives of the perpetrators as well as that of their victims. The book shows that women, like men, were victimized by the national socialist system. They were, however, also part of the regime. Is Women in the Holocaust a book long overdue? How does this book fit into the contemporary discussion about gender and nationalsocialism?Downloads
