Since 2006, the model project of the German Football Association, “Social Integration of Girls through Football” established over 200 school project groups in so-called social hotspots. The editors of the volume at hand take a closer look at the function of sport within pedagogical training. Additionally, they deliver an extensive project report and a plea for a modernization of relationships between schools, clubs, curricula and volunteering. The volume and the project are tremendous contributions to gender equality in sports. At the same time, several texts are cumbersome to read for a practical investigation, and terms in the field of “integration” remain unclear.Downloads
