Gender Game compiles a variety of artistic and scholarly approaches to post-modern constructions of gender. Using Butler’s concept of ‘doing gender’ as a starting point, the contributors to this anthology investigate what role the gaze and the visual realm play in gender(ed) constructions. The authors further examine what kind of possibilities visual media (film, photography, and the internet) may offer for a performative transgression of gender boundaries.Downloads
