Dagmar von Hoff’s study spans from an analysis of an ethnological tabu term to the literary and historical transformations of the incest theme and their mythic dimensions to incest as a traumatic experience. Incest is hereby understood as a threshold experience that leads to the boundaries of that which can be spoken and, hence, challenges literary texts, such as film, in their strategies of representation.Downloads
