The work of girls has been proven these days to be, at least rhetorically, an indispensable part of child and youth employment. At the same time, it has fallen under critique from various sides, is considered out-dated, and is only limitedly accepted by those addressed. Tanja Brinkmann is convinced that an examination of new gender theories could contribute to opening up new perspectives on girls’ employment. Her volume offers the basis for this new perspective in terms of her presentation of theories and their application to children and youth employment.Downloads
